  1. Hello there Shanya,

My name is Von and I am a year 7 student from S.P.X school.
That is amazing! Great foot print I love how you add flowers to your foot print but I was wondering does the flowers represent something about Japan?

Fantastic Job and keep it up!

  2. Hi von,

In Japan flowers are known to be Bravery, good fortune and honour. Japan is also known for their cherry blossom flowers.

  3. Hi gals,

The cherry blossom is a very important and precious flower in the Japanese culture. When I was living in Japan we actually spent a week in late April attending our local 'cherry blossom' festival. For the festival we would bring a picnic dinner and cycle out to a beautiful park that was laden with cherry blossoms. We would then sit underneath the blossoms and listen to music while we ate our dinner and drank some Japanese sake. It was absolutely stunning - I still remember it vividly and it was almost 10 years ago now!

Lovely work with your footprint, Shanya.

    Sayonara,

    Rachel

  4. Hi Mrs. Williams,

That would have been a lovely time. I thought that had happened maybe 1 or 2 years ago. Did the petals fall onto your food or drink?

    1. That's a really good question, Shanya! None of the petals fell into our drinks or onto our food, that I can remember however there were beautiful petals all around us on the ground. The whole area was covered in this light dusting of pink and red petals. It was pretty amazing to see!

Hope that you're having a lovely evening :)
