Weekly Activities by Ashleigh

Greece has an area of mainland, which is very mountainous, and hundreds of small islands dotted around in the Aegean and Ionian seas. There are about 140 inhabited islands in Greece, but if you count every rocky outcrop, the total surges to about 3,000. The largest island is Crete which is in the Mediterranean Sea.

  1. Hi Ashleigh!

I love the map that you have posted showing us exactly where Greece is located. It is a beautiful country and one that I would love to visit in the future! I would especially enjoy going to Athens to see where the first ever Olympics took place...

From reading your post, it appears that you may have gotten your information from a website. Was it from Wikipedia? (I often use Wikipedia, too!). If so, can you please write the word 'Wikipedia' and the date that you found the information beside your paragraph? That just helps the reader to know where the information came from and when it was found. Thanks so much!!

I hope that you will continue to blog with us this holiday. I have already learned so much from your posts and can't wait to learn more!

Wishing you a great start to your holiday,

    Rachel
