Question it say to write down to questions from our text farming fish that I did not know Then do some reasearch to find out the answer however I could not find any info on my two questions so I had a gess

My first question is:

1. How did they keep the water flowing

They used the plastic pipes because

the pipes are getting water from the sea into the stream.  (This was a guess since I could not find any info on it from the internet)

My second question is:

2. where did they get the pipes

They found some plastic and molded it into the shape on a pipe. (This was a guess since I could not find any info on it from the internet)

In the book I could see what it would of had looked like when it was done and working and when the fish were finished growing.

In the story the boy says that he fed the fish this weird looking, food for the fish.The pipe is on the side near the rocks goes to the river and connected to other pools.The tree and the rocks are the background as the pools are in an forest kind of looking place.

What I have learned?

I have learnt that the solomon islands now can catch or grow your own fish when there is heavy weather or when the ocean is too rough to catch fish in.

I also learnt that the solomon islands could feed the fish with this kind of food that grew near the pools to feed the fish so that they could not just go and buy some.

Summary- Farming fish- Farming fish is about when this boy named Richard describes what his Uncle did to the Island about fish. When it is fine weather or calm sea we go fishing to get some food. When the sea is rough they can’t go fishing and also if the weather is bad they can’t go fishing either.

My uncle (THE CHIEF)  decided to make little ponds so the people in the village could have fish at any time even if the weather was bad or the sea was rough. His people of the Island thought that he was crazy but it actually worked. So they could have fish at any time they wanted to.
